(20-th April 2012)I announce, that I will play in "FICS MAY MANIA", and "Team League"(Friday, April 20, 19:00 server time).
Because of the tournament rules, I can't play in "RW Swiss 2012", since my "Team League" playing history is empty (never played there, nor completed any of stages). So first important step to next year's "RW Swiss" is "Team League" tournament that will take about two month. If compared tournament regulations: Team League(two month and time control 40 20(40 min. + 20 secods for every move)) with RW Swiss(7 months and time control 90 30 (90 min. + 30 seconds for every move)), the "Team League" tournament is much easier than RW Swiss. So the first one is a good start(or training part) to the second one.

2012 "FICS MAY MANIA"

Eligibility
Participants must be members of the STC Bunch and have a valid account at FICS before the start of the tournament. To be eligible you must have played a minimum of 10 rated standard games. To register with the STC Bunch, players should sign up on this website and make sure to enter their FICS handle and current standard rating into their profile (http://www.stcbunch.net/). Registration will close on Monday April 30 at 19:00 server time. There are no late-joins or byes available for this tournament.
Tournament Format
All entrants will be listed in descending order by rating and then placed into groups of 16. Each group will play a 4 round swiss. FIDE pairing rules will be followed and all games will be played at a time control of 40 20. All games must be played rated.
Round 1: May 01-May 08
Round 2: May 08-May 15
Round 3: May 15-May 22
Round 4: May 22-May 29
Each round begins and ends at 19:00 server time. Within these limits, players arrange the exact time of their game with their opponent.

Team League

To join, you need a minimum of 20 rated standard games.
You must have no history of computer abuse, and you should be prepared to commit to weekly play for about two months, in a 45 45 game which typically lasts several hours.
In preparation, you should familiarize yourself with the Player's Handbook listed under Documents. You may especially wish to review the "How to Join" section. You must run the command "tell teamleague join" (while on FICS) before joining a team.

RW Swiss 2012

The RW Swiss 2012 is a 7-round tourney with 1 game per month, from May to November. Time controls: 90 30. The tourney is open for RainbowWarriors and Guests from other teamleague clubs. The RW Swiss 2012 is open to 96 players: RainbowWarriors and other Teamleaguers. You must have completed at least 1 Teamleague tourney and must not have had major issues (e. g. a red card) in Teamleague or FICS. All entrants will be seeded using the latest fixed tl rating.
